What to do in the event of a bereavement

I am often contacted by owners who have sadly suffered the bereavement of a joint or family owner who held the Las Casitas Villa ownership in their name.

Escritura Owners

If the original owner held an escritura, their name needs to be removed from the Spanish Land Registry.  This can only be done with an Inheritance Escritura  along with a Power of Attorney to Sell and NIE number all of which will be needed should you wish to sell or transfer to the Holding Company in the future.

RM Legal in Playa Blanca are the Lawyers that WimPen suggest for the owners to obtain the Power of Attorney and NIE they should also be able to help you with the Inheritance Escritura,

Holding Company Owners

Transfer of ownership is very straightforward. To transfer a  name from the ownership, Wimpen will need a copy of the death certificate and it can be arranged by Nichola at Wimpen. nichola@wimpen.com
